Meeting Method

 

Imagine if a meeting did just what you needed and wanted it to do, nothing more, nothing less. This is what the Meeting Method Program was developed to do, to make meetings effective, efficient, enjoyable, productive and ultimately satisfying.

This workshop can be delivered online or face-to-face. It will help you to reduce how much time you spend in meetings, ensuring the meetings that you do attend are engaging and productive. The program covers both meetings conducted online as well as those done face-to-face, giving particular attention to the protocols, processes and tools that make online meetings successful.

 

Meetings are a necessary part of any business. It is through meetings that groups of people:

  • solve problems,
  • share information,
  • make decisions,
  • monitor performance,
  • allocate actions,
  • accept responsibilities,
  • build relationships,
  • and check-in with each other.

Meetings are not just important but are critical to the operations, planning and performance of most organisations, teams and team members.
The Meeting Method Program changes meetings from being the worst of our work to being the best part of our work. Whether the meeting is one you chair, simply attend or just initiate without attending, the program will:

  • develop skills to impact positively on meetings,
  • develop skills in preparing, running and/or contributing to meetings, and for following them up,
  • develop a more effective approach to meetings, and
  • build knowledge and understanding to better deal with meeting dynamics.

The online program takes two to three hours depending on the size of the group plus an online follow-up and review. For an individual it can be customised into one or two shorter sessions or be part of a wider coaching framework that can include the mentoring component outlined below.
A mentoring component can be added to the program in which a facilitator/coach sits in on one or more of your online meetings to either identify opportunities and challenges specific to you (prior to the formal program) or to give feedback to you as part of a follow-up to the formal program.
